The Beach place is an up stair house with 3 double bed rooms with en-suite bathrooms and a study. This could be converted in to a kid’s room if necessary. It’s called Beach place as its right beside the beach with steps going down to the ocean. The villa comes with a cook, room boy & night watchman. If you’re lucky, you can buy your fresh fish strait from the ocean. The cooks will barbeque it for you. Beach place is accomplished with a half indoor swimming pool which is in the middle of the house with a beautiful water feature. The beach place is designed for beach lovers.




Dalip House
A newly built villa with a Balinese influence, the Dalip House has a wide beach frontage. The waves are challenging and to be shown respect. Fishermen perch on their stilts just to the right of the private beach gate. Dalip House has polished stone flooring, which encourages cool bare foot living. Timber ceilings and shutters channel the view out over the garden towards the Indian Ocean.Dalip House has three double rooms each in separate pavilions and is located at the front of the villa allowing you to gaze out to sea whilst still in bed. There is a children’s' pavilion with a twin room, single room and small sitting area. All doubles have an ensuite shower. The children's wing shares a bathroom with shower.

The Beach Hut
One of the closest beach villas to Galle Town, The Beach Hut is situated on a quiet wide sweeping sandy beach. This stylish beach villa has one main ensuite bedroom and a smaller second air conditioned bedroom suitable for two children. The living area is comfortably furnished with a tasteful blend of antiques and locally crafted furniture and opens on to a wide verandah where breakfast and other meals can be served.

The terrace of the master suite overlooks the pool, garden and ocean from where you can watch the sun drop down into the Indian Ocean whilst enjoying an early evening cocktail.


Off Rocks
Just ten minutes away from the historic Galle Fort, Off Rocks is a tribute to fine living. The Orchard House has four a/c bedrooms opening out to the central courtyard and garden. The ensuite bathrooms have h/w showers. Three double bedrooms are furnished with large four poster antique beds and one with twin beds. Rooms are also equipped with overhead fans. Orchard House – named after the villa’s enclosed gardens – has recently been renovated by a leading Australian designer. Enter through the unassuming main doorway to a spacious living area and a long courtyard full of lush greenery, which is the main focus of all the bedrooms. A pillared pavilion perfect for al fresco dining and a small swimming pool are located at the back of the property.

All bedrooms are ensuite shower rooms and a/c. we are only letting the front 3 ones at this stage as the ones in the back are not really up to scratch yet and also needed for staff and washing and such. The Bethel
The 'Bethel'' is Close to Galle at Hapugalla is an intriguing place known as `BETHEL`. This is a large, Dutch style building with colonial furniture and an open – air pool. It has long corridors leading to four bedrooms and is set in a higher location over looking a lovely spice garden with a lotus pond in the center of it..There is a distinct atmosphere of relaxed homeliness about the place, as though it belongs to an author or publisher.







Moon Hill
The villa is a spacious tropical beach house with high wooden ceilings, cool cement flooring and a lush interior courtyard. Situated on a hill the house is designed to flow with the landscape and surprising you with a sea view as soon as you step through the front door. Bedrooms:

Step into the world of Tientsin & step back in time. This spacious bungalow was one of the first to be built in Ceylon tea country. Named after the Chinese village from which the original tea seedlings came, this very British residence is a historical landmark. Six glorious rooms & suites open onto magnificent English gardens still standing loyal to the colonial planters wives who created a little bit of home in a far away land. Each suite too is faithful to the original design with polished wooden floors, high ceilings even some with four-poster beds. The graceful dining room & lounge recall for the traveler how the planter & his lady shared lazy evenings around a blazing fire.

Norwood

The Bungalow at Norwood commands a fine view of the eastern end of the Bogawantalawe valley & rests in the shelter of the one of the finest bamboo stands to be found anywhere. The suites are oversized with imposing colonial style furniture, some with the four-poster beds & very elegant bathrooms. A spacious lounge & well-stocked library lead out to a croquet lawn, a large swimming poll & sun deck. Kirchhyan Bungalow

This tea estate bungalow on Aislaby Estate and Farm is still owned by the only remaining British planting family in Sri Lanka. The family arrived in Ceylon in 1884 and the estate has been in the family since the early 1920's. Set in the cooler climate of the hill country, Kirchhayn provides a wonderful retreat from the heat of the low country. Drive through picture postcard manicured tea to reach this traditional planter's colonial house set in 8 acres of gardens and surrounded by 42 acres of premium quality tea.

Breakfast is served on the verandah, from where you can see the tea-pluckers starting their daily routine. The breakfast menu would include healthy tropical fruit and local "curd" or the full Sri Lankan breakfast of string hoppers, fish, beef or chicken curry, with Aislaby tea or Kirchhayn coffee. Lunch could be a traditional rice and curry served on the verandah or a packed lunch could be arranged allowing you to venture out to other parts of the tea estate. You could also choose your picnic spot. Dinner is in the candle lit dining room served by staff in traditional crisp white jacket and sarong. Here you will feast on a three course dinner accompanied by a selection of wines.


Taprobane Island

Taprobane Island was originally built in the 1920’s by the romantically named but self styled Count de Mauny-Talvande. The Island with its neo palladio mansion has played host to kings, queens, presidents, prime ministers, aristocracy, writers and eccentrics.

The Island comprises 2, ½ acres of tropical fantasy with. Accommodation is provided for in 5 en-suite bedrooms, with spacious living areas, balconies, verandahs, tropical gardens and a stunning infinity pool. A staff of six, cater for your every need and in fact the guests frequently never leave the Island until their departure.





The Sunhouse

Originally the house of a Scottish spice merchant, this colonial house was built in the 1860’s and has been converted into a small hotel which exudes a country house atmosphere. With seven highly individual bedrooms, it is well known for its fine dining, its ecletic and eccentric collection of artwork, books and furniture. All standard rooms are en-suite and air-conditioned, Its Cinnamon suite has been described by Condé Nast Traveller as “the most beautiful room in the world”.

Meals can be taken in either the dining room, on one of the house's verandahs or in the garden under the mango tree. Hidden in the vast green coconut belt that stretches from Negombo to Puttalam and inland up to Kurunegala lies Horathapola Estate. Its grand planter’s Bungalow which was renovated in 2003 and is just an hours drive north from Katunayake International Airport.

The Bungalow has 3 large suites and one two-bedroom family suite. All rooms in the main house are furnished with antique four-poster beds. While in the dépendance, a slightly more modern room has been added with an in-built cement bed with ebony lining. The bathrooms are splendidly redone and very spacious. Each of the rooms has a private veranda or balcony.

Traditional curries are still prepared in clay pots on the firewood stove. A variety of the ingredients are grown on the estate, the spices freshly plucked and ground. Selected western dishes and vegetarian meals are also available.
